PROTECTING OUR COMMUNITY AND EACH OTHER

We are returning to a new normal in fall 2021, with full in-person learning. As we look back on the most challenging academic year in memory, we are grateful for the extraordinary efforts made by all faculty and staff. Those efforts have enabled our community to carry on—teaching, living, and learning together despite the enormous hardship of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The University has mandated vaccinations, with exceptions for those with religious and medical exemptions, for all students, faculty, and staff before the start of classes on September 2, 2021. After you are vaccinated, please upload your vaccination information into the Healthway portal. Faculty and staff?are required to upload your vaccination information by September 2, 2021. It is essential that the University maintain accurate information about vaccination numbers for our community.

As the number of people in our buildings increases, we expect the impact to be offset by increasing vaccination, along with our testing and contact tracing protocols, which will continue through the fall. We must continue to observe our health and safety protocols, including mask wearing in indoor shared spaces, with limited exceptions. We encourage you to review our frequently asked questions about workplace repopulation. You can contact covidhelp@editoraregextremadura.com if you have any questions.

Please continue to watch this website for the latest information on our workplace and medical guidance and University policies designed to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. It’s important to understand that our circumstances are evolving, and so will our policies.
